Appeal to all Buddhist in the world

Appeal to all Buddhist in the world
October 4, 2007.
Dear respected all Buddhist in the world,
While the Buddha Sasana is flawlessly shining because of the faith in “Law of
Dependent Origination and Causal Relation”, the Burmese dictatorial military authorities
have been intimidating, beating, arresting and killing the Buddhist monks and their
devotees at the feet of Buddhist shrines, and also ruthlessly raiding the monasteries.
Moreover the Buddhist monks are being disrobed by force. All those acts are against
Dhamma and Vinaya and Buddha Sasana is stained with blood.
Till today, some 2000 people had been arrested including monks and nuns. The arrest,
torture and killing are still continuing, and missing people are assumed killed.
Therefore we earnestly appeal to all Buddhists in the world to effectively call for to stop
those atrocities committed by Burmese military regime immediately.
